people with oncological diseases
Cancer also affects partners, parents, children, and other close friends. Being with someone with cancer can be associated with anxiety, helplessness, fatigue, a sense of responsibility, and a tendency to put one's own needs on the back burner. The group provides a space for discussion about what life is like alongside the disease.
Meeting topics may include:
• fear for a loved one
• overload with the role of caregiver
• feeling of guilt
• anger and helplessness
• communication with a sick person
• borders
